“A wonderful day for a sightseeing flight above the alps”, thought eagle Alfons. Well, there is the new egg in the eyrie, and his wife Berta told him to take care for it while she is visiting her friend in the near village. “Take care for our baby” – she said (and she is bigger than Alfons – all eagle-women are bigger…).

On this day not just Alfons and his baby are having an excursion, no, a group of children, who want to learn something about birds, is as well on the way today. When suddenly Alfons with his big wings landed the children were really impressed.

Flattered Alfons made a bow and answered some questions of the young ladies and gentlemen. Alfons showed them how to see like an eagle in the woods and finally he taught them how to build an eyrie – like the one he built for his family. Suddenly the young explorers asked: “Are there a lot of babies in your eyrie?”

Babies? Alfons forgot his baby completely! And it was really late! He should be already at home with the egg! Alfons went to his backpack – but it was empty! What would Berta say?

Would Alfons find the lost egg before it is getting dark? Of course the children help him – they search here and there, listen everywhere – Do you like to help them as well?
